About us
We opened Street Cafe over a decade ago with one idea: a place where locals could eat really well, drink great coffee, and feel at home. No fuss, no fanfare. Just good food and good people. It’s grown into something we’re genuinely proud of.
We’re family-run — you’ll regularly see Rita, Bella, Michael and Alex here. Every dish and every cup reflects how much we care about getting it right. We’ve won awards for it (including Best Cafe/Restaurant in St Albans), but the real reward is seeing the same faces come back week after week.
Whether it’s a Saturday brunch with friends, a quiet weekday coffee, or a private celebration, Street Cafe has the right feel for it. We change our menu with the seasons, source locally where we can, and cook everything in-house. Simple food, done properly.
What makes us special isn’t just the food. It’s the regular who’s been coming every Sunday for five years. The birthday that turned into a proper celebration. The quiet corner where you can work for a couple of hours without anyone rushing you.
